Richard Kaufman aka (The Comeback Coach) shares his story of being the child of an addict and becoming an addict himself at a very young age. Richard chose to escape a chaotic household by joining the military at the age of 17. He shares his ups and downs in the military, getting kicked out of the military and finding himself right back in his hometown of New Jersey. He shares the impact that 9/11 had on his life and how it was a turning point for him. Richard is the author of the book "A Hero's Journey from darkness to light" and advocate for veterans and first-responders dealing with PTSD. His goal is to inspire and help save lives by sharing his story and his struggles with mental health. He shares how he almost took his own life on Memorial day of 2012 when he was discharged out of the Army after being injured. He sought help at the VA and with the help from family members and therapy he has been able to inspire and encourage other men and women to do the same. He lives by the mantra "Today I Decide."
