Numbers 7-8 Numbers 7-8 continues the theme of preparing Israel for marching from Mount Sinai by recounting each tribe’s tribute and offerings brought to the tabernacle as part of the opening ceremonies of the tabernacle and by describing the cleansing procedures for the Levites. The tabernacle is thus ready for service and the Levites are ready to assist the priests.
