How to Stand Up to Your Parents

Hey kids this is a “how to stand up to your parents” video. I think one of the hardest transitions into adulthood is realizing that loving your parents and living your own life are not mutually exclusive.A lot of us become adults everywhere except around our parents. We overexplain, panic, change our minds, or ask for permission when what we’re really looking for is approval. The problem isn’t that we don’t know what we want. It’s that disappointing the people who raised us can feel terrifying. So I hope this video gives you a practical framework for making your own decisions, communicating them with respect, and setting boundaries without becoming disrespectful. Because standing up to your parents isn’t about winning an argument. It’s about learning to respect them without surrendering your adulthood.Feel free to leave a comment because I love to talk! Also taking suggestions for future “how to” videos. I’d love to hear them! Go to https://nor3mak.com/ if you’d like to work through these conversations with me one-on-one :)
