On September 11, 2012, U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, came under attack. The attacks continued through the night and into the early morning hours of September 12.
Four Americans were killed: Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone S. Woods, and Glen A. Doherty.
