Should Our Kids Learn AI?

Julie and Cathy got into it this week about raising kids who won't be obsolete in ten years. Both of them have teenagers, both work in industries that AI is actively eating, and neither of them has any idea if college is still worth the money. What they do know: the marketing and design fundamentals they learned twenty years ago still matter, even if the tools have completely changed. They talked about which skills are actually transferable (writing, taste, knowing how to talk to people) and which ones are probably going to be automated into irrelevance. There's also this whole thing about mentorship that came up, how having someone who's been through it matters more now than it used to. The episode's useful if you're trying to figure out what your kids should be learning, or if you're mid-career and wondering what parts of your job are safe. Spoiler: the human parts, probably. But they're more honest about the uncertainty than most people are willing to be.
