The Ache of Being Two

What if ignorance is not simply not knowing — but the feeling of being separate? We take the fact that there is experience as proof that there must be a separate experiencer: me in here, the world out there. And from that division come fear, loneliness, defensiveness, and the sense that life is something we must somehow negotiate from the outside. But sometimes the clouds part. In meditation, music, movement, nature, or simply a moment of complete presence, the boundary softens. There is no longer someone having the experience. There is just the experience itself. In this episode of The Empty Cup, we explore the ache of separation — and the possibility that the peace we seek may begin when, for a moment, we stop standing apart from life. ★ Support this podcast ★
