They depart January 22, 2027 for a 33-day trip. Contact admin@3y0l on that. They have packed up a shipping container in Texas this past weekend and are shipping it soon. YJ – Vanuatu & FK – New Caledonia KD6XU, Barry, plans to depart Vanuatu (YJ0BP) on Tuesday, October 6, weather permitting, and arrive in New Caledonia (FK) on October 9 or 10. T32 – East Kiribati - KH6QJ, Ken, arrived in East Kiribati on September 23 local time. Extremely high tides andheavy rain have caused coastal flooding, leaving the T32AZ antenna and station site underwater. He will operate if conditions improve, though the outlook is poor, and will depart Wednesday, October 7. FW – Wallis and Futuna - SP9FIH Janusz, operating as FW1P from Wallis Island, reports that limited luggage (60 kg) andspace required him to share one telescopic mast among his 40, 60, and 80 m antennas, rebuilding the setup weekly. His schedule is 80 meters through October 2, 40 meters from October 2–12, and 60 meters from October 12–16. He also plans to enter the upcoming Oceania DX SSB Contest, operating on 40–10 meters. 5W – Samoa - SP5EAQ, Jacek, is QRV as 5W0AF until October 12 on SSB only. During the trip, he plans to send updates and photos to SP5UAF, Tom, who will post the latest information on the 5W0AF website. 9Q – Democratic Republic of Congo - 13 members of theMediterranean DX Club should be QRV by now from Kinshasa, using the callsign 9T0MD until October 11. This is the first time for the 9T0 prefix They know this one is particularly neededon 160 and 80, so they will emphasize those with the “traditional human-operated modes.” Here is a breaking update: The 9T0MD team, in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been having electrical problems. They have now resolved about 70% of theproblems and hope to have it completely fixed tomorrow with a new generator.All of the antennas from 10 to 40 meters are ready and tomorrow they hope to have 80/160 along with receive and 6 meters. V6 – Micronesia - JR1GSE, Takahata, will be active from Weno, Chuuk (OC-011), Micronesia, from October 1 to October7, 2026, using the callsign V61GSE. He will be running an IC-7300MK2 at 100W with an inverted vee on 3.5 through 50 MHz on FT8, SSB, and CW. Operating hours will be limited because the operator will be on vacation. QSL is available viaeQSL or direct with SAE+$2, Club Log and LoTW will be used.
