Episode 325 | "Gears E-Day Multiplayer, how good is it?"

After another busy week in video games, Jon, Nick and Jesse return to talk about everything that's happened! Financial reports, Xbox plans, Sony's plans for physical and of course, just how good Gears of War: E-Day feels to play. All this and more in the DayOne Show Episode 325! As always, before we dive into the biggest news topics of the week, we chat through what we've been playing. With Halo: Campaign Evolved now fully out in the wild, Nick's been catching up and is having a very good time with the remade campaign. It also spawns a big discussion on Halo overall, with plenty of diverse opinions on display. The biggest topic of discussion games-wise is of course centered around Gears of War: E-Day, with Jon and Jesse bringing our in-depth previews for both the 4v4 versus mode and the fantastic Horde Siege. It really is gorgeous, full of the gore, brutality and 'ruined beauty' of classic Gears of War. Beyond that, it feels really good to play, and we're looking forward to jumping back in when the Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer beta hits next week! If you're after more Gears of War content, check out our members only episode of Split-screen. See you on the battlefield. On the news front, we dive into Xbox's latest financial earnings report, as Xbox hardware continues its death spiral. But of course, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma has a plan, and we'll just have to wait to see how it all pans out. Sony also had their financials, and in another blow for fans of physical media, made it clear that they are not backing down following their decision to end physical disc production. All this plus your community questions in The DayOne Show Episode 325!
