Ep. 315: Meet Laina Rauma – the fashion designer on everyone’s moodboard!

My latest guest is the brilliant fashion designer Laina Rauma, someone I first interviewed back in 2015, when I had a blog.

Remember those?

I remember when I first followed Laina because she had and still has, this amazing editorial eye and she's always seemed to be able to predict what was coming next, years in advance.

I wanted to interview Los Angeles-based Laina again because so much can happen in a decade and I wanted to just find out how she’s getting on because she is one of those rare independent designers that manages to do it all; create amazing pieces, build a thriving business, create social media content to promote her work all while being a human being existing in a world that has these major ebbs and flows.

In this episode Laina shares on an early loss that inspired her to leave Vancouver, Canada for Los Angeles with just her sewing machine.
