We Stayed at Fiji's #1 Resort and It Ruined Everything Else [YouTube Bonus]
transcript
show notes
In this YouTube bonus episode of BoldlyGo Podcast, DeAndre Coke takes us inside Namale Resort & Spa, an adults only luxury retreat in Fiji that completely changed the standard he and Taryn now have for all inclusive resorts.
After researching luxury properties across Fiji for their honeymoon, they chose Namale for its privacy, adults only atmosphere, and true all inclusive experience. Getting there is part of the adventure, with a tiny domestic flight to Savusavu followed by a private resort transfer. Once on property, the scale becomes even more impressive: 525 acres, fewer than 50 guests at full capacity, and only 16 guests during part of their stay.
DeAndre also gives a detailed look at the ultra private Duavata Villa, complete with its massive private pool, indoor and outdoor showers, ocean views, and secluded location within the resort. But the biggest surprise wasn't the villa. It was just how much Namale actually includes. From exceptional food and premium drinks delivered almost anywhere on property to bowling, movies, kayaking, golf, fitness facilities, and unlimited access to the hydrotherapy areas of the spa, the resort takes the all inclusive concept much further than most luxury properties.
Ultimately, what made Namale unforgettable was the service and connection to Fijian culture. Staff learned their names, welcomed them into traditional kava ceremonies, celebrated New Year's alongside them, and made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. By the end of six nights, Namale hadn't simply become one of their favorite resorts. It had changed their expectations for luxury hospitality altogether.
