Nehemiah 13:15-31 - Nehemiah's Last Reforms (Part 2)

The book of Nehemiah ends by discussing the problems that are constantly plaguing Israel. No matter what Nehemiah does to fix things, the Israelites need a Savior: The Israelites profane the Sabbath by working on the Sabbath The importance of keeping the Sabbath day holy and what that means for the modern listener. Sabbath is a sign of the eternal rest we'll experience in God's presence and how it's meant to be a delight, not a burden. Nehemiah finds that some men are marrying women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab, leading to their children speaking the language of the foreign women rather than Hebrew.
