show notes
Welcome to The Book of First Peter! Today we highlight Peter's encouragement for those struggling through trials:
- Peter's letter is addressed to Christians living as foreigners in various communities, reminding them to obey Jesus and be sprinkled with his blood - what this means and its significance today.
- Peter's letter is meant to encourage Christians to have faith and obedience, as these go hand in hand.
- Jesus tells Nicodemus that one must be born of water and spirit to enter God's kingdom. What does Jesus mean by this?
- Peter's letter reminds Christians that trials are for the proof of their faith. Though trials are grievous, they may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
