In which the devoted Maria Stefanowna finds herself entwined in a perilous plot within the Socialist brotherhood, tasked with the abduction of the Tsarevitch and burdened by the dark intentions that threaten to sully their noble cause. Tormented by anxiety and her deep convictions, she seeks a cunning and faithful solution to preserve both the captive’s life and the honour of the movement she so devoutly serves.
