For millions of people, Wordle is a daily challenge of luck, vocabulary and strategy. But now, researchers say they’ve found a mathematical approach that could dramatically improve your chances of solving the puzzle. A team led by Binghamton University researcher Peter Wu used information theory to develop a strategy that solves Wordle puzzles with a 99 per cent success rate in simulations — changing the way we think about guessing and problem-solving. Peter spoke to Andrew Carter.
