Brad Pitt Is Back On The Booze - My Views!
transcript
show notes
Brad Pitt is reportedly drinking again after around seven years of sobriety, and as you can imagine, everyone has an opinion.
So, I thought I'd share mine.
For me, this isn't about judging or shaming someone for making a personal choice. We're all wonderfully unique, and our relationship with alcohol is deeply personal. What works for one person might be completely wrong for another.
But when someone as famous and influential as Brad changes their relationship with alcohol, it can have an impact. I know this because I've experienced something similar myself. Around 18 months into my own alcohol-free adventure, seeing someone close to my journey return to drinking made me question whether I should do the same.
In this episode, I explore moderation, willpower, recovery, personal choice, and why ultimately the only relationship with alcohol that really matters is your own.
If your life is better without alcohol, why would you put it back in?
What You'll Learn:
Why everyone's relationship with alcohol is completely unique
Why someone else's decision to drink again can make you question your own
My own experience of nearly returning to alcohol
Why I believe moderation can become a difficult experiment with willpower
Why your own lived experience matters more than anybody else's choices
