Autonomous AI agents can interact with sensitive infrastructure, making indirect prompt injection and unauthorized tool execution serious security concerns. This article proposes four defensive layers for AWS-hosted agents: isolated execution environments, deterministic validation of tool calls, recovery mechanisms, and execution-level interruption controls. While these approaches offer a useful starting point, the proposed implementations require more precise authorization, validation, rollback, and human-approval mechanisms before they can be considered production-ready.
