Creating a culture of peer-to-peer recognition in the workplace is essential. Culture is not only defined by policies and procedures but also by unwritten rules and behaviours. Creating a culture of appreciation makes people feel valued, recognized, and appreciated.

Although leaders need to recognize their employees, sharing the load of recognition and encouraging peer-to-peer recognition is essential. Sharing the load helps create a workplace where everyone feels appreciated and increases collaboration.
