While the company’s revenue beat the average analyst estimate, capital expenditure jumped to about $18.4 billion in the second quarter led by spending in its artificial intelligence unit.
- Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) shares are lower after the semiconductor firm’s second-quarter revenue and third-quarter sales forecast underwhelmed investors expecting a stronger performance given rising demand.
- Disney (DIS) shares are climbing as profit beat Wall Street estimates in the company’s fiscal third quarter, driven by soaring income from its entertainment division and the resilience of its theme parks in California and Florida.
- Eli Lilly (LLY) shares are higher as it raised its 2026 sales guidance after it reported far stronger second-quarter demand than analysts estimated for its weight-loss and diabetes drugs.Sales for the year will be $85 billion to $87 billion, Lilly said on Wednesday, compared with its earlier forecast of $82 billion to $85 billion.
