- Ryanair said first-quarter profit fell 34% as the Middle East conflict drove up oil prices and weakened demand, forcing the budget airline to cut fares during the peak summer travel season. The stock fell as much as 6.7% in early European trading, the most since mid April.
- PolyPeptide gains as much as 5.8% after Samsung Biologics agreed to acquire the Swiss contract drugmaker in an all-cash deal that values the contract drugmaker’s equity at about $1.8 billion, expanding its manufacturing capabilities.
- Segro has rejected a third offer from Prologis, which values it at £13.5 billion, arguing it has capital and expertise to build out a growing pipeline of data centre projects. Segro shares slipped as much as 1.98% after the latest rejection.
