- AstraZeneca shares plummeted as much as 7.8%, their lowest level since October 2025, after it was said to have explored an acquisition of Bristol-Myers Squibb, in a potential mega-deal that would rank as the largest ever in pharma.  

- Ryanair shares rise along with a UBS basket of European airline stocks after a slide in Brent crude futures soothed concerns of higher jet fuel prices. 

- Clarkson shares jumped as much as 16%, an all-time high, after the British shipping group reported first-half results way ahead of expectations and said it expected similar out turn for the full-year.
