The Porsche 356 Outlaw built for Vivian Campbell of Def Leppard is the centerpiece of this episode, finished in modified Brewster Green Porsche paint with pearl undertones, bordeaux basket-weave interior, 911 rear suspension, disc brakes, rack-and-pinion steering, and a fuel-injected 260hp engine. Rod also explains how he handles (and occasionally fires) high-profile clients who don't mesh with the Emory Motorsports brand.
Spike and Rod then dig into the history of Paul Zuckerman's orange 1965 Porsche 356C, once owned by Jerry Seinfeld, and Rod's firsthand connection to it. His grandfather Neil Emery worked for Newport Beach dealer Chick Iverson, and Rod's father Gary was the one detailing and maintaining that exact car.
The Gary Emory Baja Bug comes up during a discussion about Rod's upcoming Jay Leno's Garage shoot, where Rod built a tribute to the original concept his dad created. Rod and Jay plan to take it into the desert for donuts.
