Horcrux

Ever wondered how to get access to your account in systems where there are no admins? Originally Dark Crystal set out to solve this specific question for P2P infrastructures. The project closed down but made an impact on many but especially for Matt Lorentz who set out to continue on the efforts through Horcrux, an application for recovering secrets. Throughout this conversation we walk through recovery scenarios based on social trust rather than purely math (although it does utilize the algorithm Shamir’s Secret Sharing), the underlying Nostr protocol, challenges with key-based identities and the recently announced 1.0 release of Horcrux! 🎉
