## ShopTalk Podcast – Episode 539 | All American Tech Tutors
This week on **ShopTalk Podcast**, J and Dame kick things off with some technical difficulties that give J the perfect opportunity to resurrect an old business idea: **All American Tech Tutors**. After getting Dame's audio and camera situation together, the two debate who really deserves the blame for the problems and whether J has officially earned his new title as ShopTalk's resident tech support.
From there, the guys talk about hobbies and interests they had growing up that they wish they'd pursued further. Both J and Dame look back on their love for drawing and comic books, their time at Cass Tech, and dreams of making a living as artists. Dame talks about painting and teaching himself tattooing, while J reflects on discovering photography as a teenager and wonders how far his skills might have developed if he'd stuck with it for the last 30 years.
That leads into a deeper conversation about **photography, finding your specialty, and the importance of preserving memories**. J explains why he's considering focusing his photography on birthday portraits for people 30 and older and family photography. The guys share stories about old family photographs, photo albums, school pictures, funerals, reunions, and how a single photograph can become part of a family's history for generations.
Elsewhere, J and Dame discuss smart glasses and the Apple Vision Pro, old-school comic book shops and trading cards, the new Spider-Man movie, and whether they have the discipline to give up something they love when something more important is at stake.
The fellas also spend some time with **Nipsey Hussle's posthumous album *Prolific***, reflecting on the way Nipsey's family has handled his legacy and why *Victory Lap* will always be connected to an important period in ShopTalk's own history. They also talk about J. Cole's upcoming Detroit show and the possibility of catching his final tour.
To close things out, Dame puts out the call for a few guests he'd like to see come through ShopTalk, including the **Work on Sunday crew, Mac Nichols, and Charity**, before sharing this week's music pick.
**Music Pick of the Week:**
