You probably think this is all a bit frivolous, I suppose -- an excuse for two amateur podcasters in their early-30's to talk about a pair of dumb movies they were both obsessed with in high school? Maybe it's just because it's that time of year, but the idea that there could be a deep and fascinating vein of similarities running between these two movies seems almost... frightening.
