Letting Go!

Letting GO #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT The Art of Letting Go Ever notice how we hold onto a grudge like it is a prized possession? We carry it around, polishing it every time we remember the hurt, thinking that our anger is somehow protecting us. But the truth is, holding onto bitterness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. It doesn't keep us safe; it just keeps us stuck. When we refuse to forgive, we aren't punishing the other person; we are just building a prison for ourselves. Dr. Stanley often reminded us that obedience to God starts with a surrendered heart. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32, Be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Forgiveness isn't a feeling we wait for; it is a decision we make because we have been forgiven much. When we release the debt, we finally find the freedom to move forward. Tonight, ask yourself what you are still gripping too tightly. Let it go and let God handle the justice. #RTTBROS #Nightlight linktr.ee/rttbros Application: Identify one person you are holding a grudge against and consciously release them to God. The Art of Letting Go

Ever notice how we hold onto a grudge like it is a prized possession?
