The season premiere drew about 7.9 million viewers, down roughly 21% from last year's opener and reportedly the show's weakest season premiere in more than 25 years. The ratings arrive after a major CBS shakeup under Bari Weiss, with new executive producer Nick Bilton and several prominent departures.

AI leaders are sounding alarms straight out of Terminator. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that within 6-12 months AI agents could potentially create a persistent botnet capable of attacking huge portions of the internet. Other experts say that's wildly overstated, while Anthropic researcher Evan Hubinger puts the chance of AI-driven human extinction above 10% within a decade.

Jelly Roll says he's accomplished virtually everything he dreamed of in music - Grammys, ACMs, CMAs and Grand Ole Opry membership - and now he's asking what God wants him to do next. The singer says that if the answer is working at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Kentucky, he'd leave music behind and fans might never see him again.
