(FOX NEWS) Ohio brewery owner and former aerospace engineer John Ream wants to make small amounts of distilled spirits at home, but a federal restriction dating to 1868 stands in his way. After losing his challenge in the Sixth Circuit, Ream is asking the Supreme Court to take the case. Another federal appeals court reached a different conclusion in a separate challenge, giving the justices a potential constitutional showdown. ----- NORTHWEST EMPTY NEST (NOT THE BEE) Reporter Katie Daviscourt investigated more than 20 Seattle-area Somali-run daycare locations receiving public childcare funding and reported finding little or no evidence of children at many of the addresses she visited. She estimates more than $5 million in taxpayer funding is connected to the locations examined. Her observations raise oversight questions, but they do not by themselves establish that the operators committed fraud. ----- MAD MAN MAMDANI (NEW YORK POST) New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is again calling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a "war criminal" and saying he wants Netanyahu arrested when he visits New York for the UN General Assembly. Mamdani acknowledges that he doesn't personally have the authority to make such an arrest.
