Visual editing lands for AI code components, rich text accepts components directly, breakpoint canvas shows every viewport side by side, and popovers arrive as the first of several new native HTML elements headed to the platform. Default components fill previously empty slots, agentic translation keeps locales continuously in sync, and style props bring granular visual controls to component properties. MCP 2.1 adds interactions with GSAP, better CMS querying, and Webflow Cloud support, while releases bring true site branching so independent work streams stop colliding. Then there's Source, the new platform sitting alongside Webflow Classic. Source works directly with a local codebase (Astro, Next.js, whatever the stack), bringing releases, assets, campaigns, and custom views into one shared, agentic workspace built for developers, designers, and marketers alike. It is now in a research preview.
