In this illuminating morning class, Rasikananda Swami (affectionately known as Rasik Maharaja) continues his exploration of the profound truth that “reality is wonderful,” turning especially to the nature of liberation, the grace of the guru, and the extraordinary mystery of divine love. Drawing from the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and the teachings and lives of great saints, he explains the various forms of mukti and contrasts liberation into divine effulgence with the devotee’s deeper aspiration for an eternal loving relationship with God. Through the beautiful example of Hanuman’s unbroken absorption in Lord Ram, Rasik Maharaja reveals how true bhakti preserves both oneness and loving distinction—the inconceivable harmony expressed in Sri Chaitanya’s teaching of Achintya Bhedabheda. He describes prema as a river flowing between the two banks of meeting and separation, where the devotee is forever drawn toward the Beloved through remembrance, service, yearning, and love. Along the way, he reflects on the extraordinary nature of realized gurus and liberated souls, emphasizing that the highest spiritual attainment is not merely freedom from limitation, but a life completely absorbed in the Divine.
