Who is the ideal human being?
In this reflection episode of the Ramayana Odyssey Podcast, Rajesh Rabindranath and Daksha Nair explore one of the most profound moments in the Valmiki Ramayana: Valmiki’s question to Narada about the person who embodies all noble qualities, and Narada’s answer pointing to Rama.
This episode reflects on what it means to live with integrity, steadiness, compassion, self-mastery, and dharma in today’s world.
Through a thoughtful father–daughter conversation, they explore:
- Why Valmiki asks this question even after knowing Rama
- Why Narada is the right mentor to answer it
- The qualities of Rama that still matter today
- What it means to say that Rama is the embodiment of Dharma
- Why Dharma cannot be understood through isolated incidents
- What Rama’s presence teaches us about relationships, leadership, and trust
- How we can move from admiring the ideal to growing toward it
This is not just a reflection on Rama.
It is also an invitation to reflect on the kind of human being we ourselves are becoming.
Hosted by Daksha Nair, co-author of the Ramayana Odyssey series, with Rajesh Rabindranath, co-author and Vedanta teacher.
