I benchmarked four RPC options for .NET on the same hardware and the same intercontinental network path, then compared them on developer experience, transports, serialization, discovery, and Blazor/AOT support. WitRPC led both benchmark sets; gRPC was four times slower on large unary payloads; SignalR stayed strong for browser fan-out; CoreWCF is a migration path rather than a new-project choice. The benchmark suite is open source, so every number can be reproduced or refuted.
