This week, Alexis and Suzanne discuss Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. In this episode, they question the role of the second book in a trilogy and wonder about how book twos so often go wrong. They continue their analysis of the three-part book structure and Katniss's first-person narration. Then, following a brief summary of the book, they chat about the characterization of Katniss, Haymitch, Gale, and briefly touch on some of the other notable characters introduced in this book, like Finnick, Joanna, and Plutarch.
