往過全世界四支傘內底就有三支是台灣做的。台灣捌一冬出口九千六百萬支雨傘去九十外个國家。這集講戰後，佇五股的頭一間雨傘工廠、彰化和美家家戶戶做雨傘的經驗，嘛講工廠徙出去閣轉來的經過。對雨傘產業的起落，來看台灣的發展。

Three out of every four umbrellas in the world used to be made in Taiwan, with 96 million exported a year to more than 90 countries. This episode follows the industry from the first postwar factory in Gō͘-kó͘ to Hô-bí in Chiong-hoà, where nearly every household made umbrellas, then to the factories that moved overseas and the few that came back. Through the umbrella’s rise and fall, we look at Taiwan’s own development story.
