One MANS Opinion: Episode 299 – Boom Goes The Mock Draft

It’s NFL Draft week here at One Mans Opinion, and Jeff Mans is getting us ready for the first round and beyond. He begins this week's show with some news across the NFL, including the latest in the soap opera of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini, a contract extension for Trent Williams, an update on Colts QB Daniel Jones, and the status of Rams WR Puka Nacua. Mans discusses a few of the NFL Draft prospects that he feels have slipped through the cracks this cycle, including the player who had the best odds to go #1 overall at this time last year. Then it is time again for the “Mans Vs Mock” simulation, where Jeff goes through all 32 of the first round picks and makes the best decision for each team while comparing his choices to the mock drafters out there. A few very telling trends then emerge as we wonder if the mock drafters are even trying to fit the player with the right team. Along the way, Mans points out each team's offseason additions/subtractions, coaching changes, and draft history in trying to make the optimal selections.
