Dimension X presents “Embassy,” episode 9, originally broadcast on NBC on June 3, 1950. This 29-minute drama was adapted for radio by George Lefferts from Donald A. Wollheim’s 1942 short story, originally published under the name Martin Pearson. In New York City, private detective Broderick receives an unusual visitor: the scholarly and eccentric Mr. Grapheus, who insists a Martian Embassy is hidden somewhere in the city. Armed with an apparently ancient document, Grapheus draws Broderick into a hard-boiled investigation with unsettling implications. The cast includes Joseph Julian, Berry Kroeger, and Norman Rose.
