The Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials will be Aug 23rd to 27th this year, and we will be there. Back in 2019 we had the opportunity to interview Erin Sills about her experience setting records on the salt. She has set 45 land speed records, has multiple Guinness World Records, and her BMW S1000RR is currently on display in the Smithsonian. She brought along her Hunter Sill Racing teammate Trev Richter, who is also chasing records on the salt, and they both have some amazing stories to share.
We’ve paired this interview with another from 2019, this time with Stacie B. London of Triple Nickle Racing. Stacie has also set a record, but not quite as fast as Erin. She races on a 1967 Harley Davidson Aermacchi, which is why Bonneville is so great. You can take any bike from any era, and if you can make it go faster than the last person in the same category, you can set a record too.
