Should Cork Prison become a protected structure?

Cork Prison has existed since the early 1800s. It first started as a military barracks before becoming the site of executions after 1916. The building is old and has been abandoned for the past decade. Cork City Councillors have voted to begin the process to add a Cork prison to the Register of Protected Structures in an attempt to prevent it from being demolished. One of those voting is John Maher, Labour Councillor in Cork, who joins Seán to discuss.
