Ancient Mesopotamia

Near Eastern Archaeologist, Ingolf Thuesen joins this week's episode! We're going all the way back to Ancient Mesopotamia! I’ve invited Ingolf Thuesen to tell us more - as (now retired) lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, Ingolf has been talking about ziggurats, Gilgamesh and the Sumerians for years! He’s also the head of the Danish Institute of Damascus. Note: there’s a minor mistake on my part in this episode, where I accidentally refer to the city of Ur as the oldest city, instead of the rightfully older city, Uruk - apologies! I hope you’re enjoying Let’s Dig Deeper so far - and as always, if you have any questions or suggestions, send them to letsdigdeeperpodcast@gmail.com Follow the podcast: https://www.instagram.com/letsdigdeeperpodcast/ Follow the host: https://www.instagram.com/zee_archaeology/
