This one is from 2024. John Perkins wrote "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man", a New York Times bestseller. In it, he reveals how he helped push several countries into massive debt by persuading their governments to take huge loans from the World Bank and the IMF. He lived the high life, with women, yachts, private jets, drugs, and so on. Just like a movie. He is old now and regrets most of it. As he puts it, he cannot change history.
