Catherine Morland may not have been born to be a heroine, but she's about to find out what it's like to become one. She has emerged from a childhood filled with dirt, sports, and other tomboyish pursuits into an adolescence of novels and poetry, perfect preparation for a soon-to-be heroine. All that remains is for her to find a hero, which is hard to do in her small Wiltshire village of Fullerton. Luckily, the Morlands well-to-do neighbors, the Allens, invite her to accompany them to Bath, which is the perfect place for a young lady to find some adventure.
