A Murderer Took My Innocence | Sue Allen
transcript
show notes
Her childhood was shaped by instability, rejection, family trauma and experiences that forced her to grow up far too soon. As a young girl, she endured abandonment, homelessness and painful struggles with colorism and self-worth.
As a teenager, another traumatic experience changed the course of her life and led her into motherhood at an incredibly young age. Rather than allowing what happened to define her future, she says becoming a mother gave her a reason to keep moving forward.
Her journey would continue through family rejection, dangerous situations, young motherhood and learning how to survive without the protection she desperately needed. Eventually, therapy, motherhood and self-discovery helped her begin rebuilding the way she saw herself.
In this powerful episode of Indelibly Marked, she shares a story of survival, resilience, motherhood, healing and breaking generational cycles.
