Rebekah Lowings recently starred as Elphaba in the international tour of Wicked. The production marked a major milestone for the musical as the first ever non-replica English-language production of Wicked, with Rebekah leading the company as Elphaba. Rebekah's theatre credits include Molly Jensen in Ghost (UK Tour), standby Carol in 42 Balloons (The Lowry), first cover Maria in The Sound of Music (Chichester Festival Theatre), alternate Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady (UK Tour and London Coliseum), Lady Isobel in Knights of the Rose (Arts Theatre), Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar (International Tour) and Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour). In this episode, Rebekah discusses her run as Elphaba. She talks about the audition process, tackling the score, and Defying Gravity in a different way! Rebekah also reflects on the journey of her career and the lessons she has learnt.
