DEEP DIVE: Can you be fired for being gay?

Did you know you could lose your job for being gay, getting divorced or falling pregnant? Protections in our national laws shield people from discrimination based on gender, sexuality, marital and pregnancy status, but exemptions allow religious schools to discriminate in certain circumstances for religious reasons. A new bill attempts to change this, and has reignited debate between faith-based organisations and LGBTQIA+ advocates.
