Three-ish weeks until the last ExileCon before Path of Exile 2 official release date! We can't wait for what's coming! But, with GGG not giving us much to talk about these days, we turn to hopes and dreams! PoE 2 can only get better from here and it's exciting to anticipate! This week, we dig into the current state of Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2 and ask whether earning the third and fourth sets of Ascendancy points is challenging in the right ways. We compare the Trial of the Sekhemas and Trial of Chaos, speculate about how Trial of the Ancestors and Navali could fit into the system, and discuss whether Ascendancy trials should test your actual build through combat, bosses, and survivability instead of introducing entirely different mechanics.
We also talk about weapon-set passive trees, skill and Meta Gem restrictions, minion builds, Cast on Minion Death, and the eternal temptation to ask GGG for just one more passive-tree setup. With ExileCon 2026 approaching, we share our hopes for Path of Exile 2’s official release and wonder when Path of Exile 1 players might finally hear about the next league and its release schedule.
