He: השמש במרפסת נתלתה בשמיים כמו אש גדולה, ומזכירה לכולם את ערבי הקיץ החמים.
En: The sun on the balcony hung in the sky like a great fire, reminding everyone of the warm summer evenings.
He: בחדר האוכל שבבית משפחת כהן היו פזורים כלי כתיבה וספרים חדשים לבתי הספר.
En: In the dining room of the Cohen family home, there were scattered writing tools and new schoolbooks.
He: תמונות הישנות על הקירות העניקו לחדר אוויר תקוע, מלא בזיכרונות ומסורות.
En: The old pictures on the walls gave the room a stagnant air, full of memories and traditions.
He: עמוס התיישב ליד השולחן, נוזף בשרוכים שנחתכו בנעליו הישנות, מול הצלחות שהוכנו לארוחת ערב.
En: Amos sat down by the table, scolding the frayed laces on his old shoes, across from the plates prepared for dinner.
He: "עוד שנה אחת," לחש לעצמו, "ואני חופשי".
En: "One more year," he whispered to himself, "and I'm free."
He: אמו, שירה, נכנסה עם קערת סלט קל, נאנחת עמוקות, מצטערת על מה שיכול היה להיות ולא התרחש.
En: His mother, Shira, entered with a bowl of light salad, sighing deeply, regretting what could have been and wasn't.
He: "עמוס, שוב אתה עם הרעיונות האלה?
En: "Amos, are you again with those ideas?"
He: " היא שאלה בעודם מסדרים.
En: she asked as they arranged the table.
He: "אתה יודע שחשוב שתבחר במשהו רציני לשנים הבאות.
En: "You know it's important to choose something serious for the coming years.
He: משהו כמו משפטים או חשבונאות.
En: Something like law or accounting.
He: אמנות לא תחנך שום בית.
En: Art won't support any household."
He: "עמוס נשך את שפתיו, מביט אל עבר אחותו, תמר, שהגיעה מהאוניברסיטה מלאת סיפורים על חיי העצמאות.
En: Amos bit his lip, looking towards his sister, Tamar, who returned from university full of stories about independent life.
He: "תמר, ספרי לנו על השנה הראשונה שלך," ביקשה שירה, מנסה לשנות את הנושא.
En: "Tamar, tell us about your first year," requested Shira, trying to change the subject.
He: תמר חייכה, עיניה נעוצות בתמונות שבקירות.
En: Tamar smiled, her eyes fixed on the pictures on the walls.
He: היא סיפרה בלהט על הכרה רחבה וחוויות חדשות, אך ראשה היה אצל עמוס.
En: She passionately recounted her broad recognition and new experiences, though her mind was with Amos.
He: היא ידעה מה עובר עליו.
En: She understood what he was going through.
He: "עמוס, מה החלום שלך?
En: "Amos, what's your dream?"
He: " שאלתה פתחה דלת לא צפויה לשיחה אמיצה.
En: her question opened an unexpected door to a brave conversation.

En: Amos's heart pounded strongly.
He: "אני רוצה ללמוד אמנות," ענה בקול חזק מבעבר, למרות החשש.
En: "I want to study art," he answered in a stronger voice than before, despite the fear.

En: "I know it's not what you expected, but I care.

He: "שירה עצרה לרגע, מביטה בו עם דמעה קטנה בזווית עינה.
En: Shira paused for a moment, looking at him with a small tear in her eye.
He: "בני האהוב," אמרה בספקנות, "האמנו לך במשהו אחר.
En: "My dear son," she said with skepticism, "we believed in something else for you."
He: "תמר חייכה, נוגעת בזרועו בעדינות.
En: Tamar smiled, gently touching his arm.
He: "אני מבינה אותו.
En: "I understand him.
He: גם אני הייתי שם.
En: I was there too.
He: זה לא קל.
En: It's not easy.
He: אבל אם זה מה שעמוס רוצה, אנחנו צריכים לתמוך.
En: But if this is what Amos wants, we need to support him."
He: "האווירה השתנתה.
En: The atmosphere changed.
He: שירה, למרות ההתנגדות הראשונית, התחילה להבין את הרצון הכנה של בנה.
En: Shira, despite her initial resistance, began to understand her son's sincere desire.
He: "אנחנו נמצאים כאן בשבילך," אמרה לבסוף במבט שיהודי ההזדהות.
En: "We are here for you," she finally said with a gaze full of empathy.
