How do we know that thing we saw one of our farm dogs do is a consistent behavior or just a one-off, random event? To be sure, we need more opportunities to observe the dog in the same situation. Having thousands of lambs and dozens of livestock guardian dogs makes for a bigger sample, as does a day-in-day-out threat from black headed buzzards. Welcome to Farm Dog.
