Exploring Cardology with Krystal
transcript
show notes
What if the deck of cards sitting in your kitchen drawer held more wisdom than you ever gave it credit for?
This week Sarah is joined by Krystal, a cardologist who uses the humble 52-card deck as a map to our gifts, our challenges and the year ahead.
Krystal explains the surprisingly ancient roots of cardology, the extraordinary calendar-based maths that lines a standard deck up with the days and seasons of the year, and how she stumbled into this world almost by accident while deep in her own recovery journey - a path that also led her into sound healing. They talk gifts versus "shadow" challenges, reading friends and family (including the reading that left her brother stunned), and why none of this is about being told you're wonderful so much as understanding yourself a little better.
And sticking around to the end pays off - Krystal reads Sarah's own card live, with a result that ties together far more of Sarah's own story than either of them expected.
In this episode you'll hear about:
● What cardology actually is, and how a standard deck of playing cards is used
● The debated, centuries-old history behind the system - from the Mystic Test Book to the Order of the Magi
● The remarkable maths linking the 52 cards to the days of the year
● How Krystal discovered cardology through Gaia TV and mentor Robert Lee Camp
● Her own addiction and recovery story, and how her birth card reflected it
● How your own "birth card" is worked out from your birthday
● The different types of readings - birth cards, karma cards, year-ahead predictions and more
● Reading her family - including a reading that revealed her brother's surprise news
● How her karma card led her into sound healing with crystal bowls
● Sarah's own live card reading, and what it revealed

As always, remember — there's many paths to wellness, some ancient, some hiding in plain sight, and sometimes it really is about the cards you've been dealt.
