What happens when you know you have got it wrong, perhaps badly? Is there really a way back to God?
In this message, Chippo takes us through the story of David in 2 Samuel and his powerful prayer of repentance in Psalm 51. We see how sin can begin with seemingly small compromises and gradually lead us further than we ever intended to go, but David’s story reminds us that failure does not have to be the end of our story.
There is a way back.
Chippo explores repentance, the consequences of sin, the danger of condemnation, and the incredible mercy, love and compassion of God. David did not excuse or justify what he had done. He acknowledged his sin, turned back to God and asked to be cleansed and restored.
No matter how badly you feel you have messed up, your failure does not have to define you. Pick up your Bible again. Pray again. Come back to fellowship. Come back to Jesus.
