Threads Bible Study | Week 8: Prophet

This week's Threads makes a turn from temple, priesthood, and worship to a new thread: God speaking to His people. Pastors Jason and Daniel walk through the role of a prophet, from Abraham and Moses to Elijah and Elisha, and show how patterns like crossing the Jordan and passing the mantle were setting the stage for John the Baptist and Jesus. Every prophet fell short, which is exactly the point: they were creating expectation for the One who would come, the prophet like Moses, but greater. The conversation closes by asking how the thread continues in the church today, including the gift of prophecy, why the canon is closed, and how the Spirit still guides us under the authority of God's Word. This is Week 8 of Threads at FBC Boerne. New episodes release weekly as we trace the threads that run through Scripture and find their fulfillment in Jesus. https://www.fbcboerne.org/sermons/ https://www.facebook.com/fbcboerne
