Threads Bible Study | Week 2: The Fall

Genesis 3 can feel like an odd story to explain to someone unfamiliar with the Bible - a talking serpent, a forbidden tree. But this week's study argues it's actually the most relevant account in Scripture, describing a pattern that still plays out today. We walk through the nature of sin in the serpent's temptation of Eve, the consequences of shame, hiding, and blame that followed, and the curses pronounced on the serpent, the woman, and the man. We close on the hope tucked inside the curse: God's promise in Genesis 3:15 that a seed of the woman will one day crush the serpent's head. And we connect this chapter forward to Romans 1, seeing why we need a second Adam to make right what the first Adam broke. This is Week 2 of Threads at FBC Boerne. https://www.fbcboerne.org/sermons/ https://www.facebook.com/fbcboerne
